Faculty, staff and students at Appalachian can use the ALTERNATE AUTHENTICATION section of the Password Manager to establish the account password. This section requires unique identifiable information that is verified in a secure manner.
The alternate authentication process will ask for the University ID number, also known as the Banner ID. Additionally, the person's last four digits of the social security number and the date of birth (month, day and year) must be provided to confirm the identity before the process can continue.
